HOW HAS TECHNOLOGY CHANGED OUR LIVES?

Through the course of history, human inventions have had an impact in the way we live. From washing clothes to watching films, technology has affected our daily routine and how we interact with each other. However, as we know, it has not always been the same.

Life in the 1980's was very different from today. Back then, Internet didn't exist and people didn't have smartphones. If someone wanted to talk to a friend, they used a landline telephone or wrote a letter. Music was played on cassette tapes or vinyl records, and shows were watched on boxy TVs with antennas which had only a few channels. To take a photo, you needed a camera with film that had to be developed in a store. For research, people used encyclopedias or went to the library.

Today, we use smartphones to talk, text, take photos, listen to music, watch videos, and search for anything on the Internet. Instead of cassette tapes, we listen to music on apps like Spotify. Also, now we have intelligent and electric cars with autopilot. TV is now smart and flat, with hundreds of channels and access to streaming services like Netflix and YouTube. To search for information, we use laptops, mobile phones or tablets. Smartwatches, voice assistants, and even smart fridges are part of our daily life.
