I LOVE TECHNOLOGY

Monday, 28th April 2025, 12:33 a.m., Spain. This was an awkward day. At this time, Spain, Portugal and some parts of France were experiencing a sudden blackout.

A day without power

At first, I thought electricity would come back in a few minutes, but it didn't. The school was completely dark. Luckily, it was midday and sunny, so I didn't miss the light. When the teacher told us that there had been a blackout all over Spain, I thought it couldn't be true, that maybe she read fake news. However, when people from other classes told me about the power outage, I first looked out at the street, and then I saw that the traffic lights were off. I couldn't believe it! It was true!

Fortunately, I go home by walk, so there was no problem with the traffic for me. As the sun went down, we lit candles around the house. Honestly, I think that the worst thing was having a shower with cold water... Then, we ate dinner by candlelight, but there was still a little bit of sunlight. Finally, I went to sleep, hoping that next day the power would come back...(and it did!).
